Owner and founder of Centurion Tours, Ikraam Bulbulia, comes from along line of entrepreneurs and did not follow the traditional path to building a business. After leaving school at an early age Ikraam tried a number of paths before realising his dream of building a business and creating job opportunities for others.
The day Ikraam accompanied his father to the airport to fetch a friend, and had to endure a two-hour long wait due to flight delay, was when the idea for his business dream had sparked. As he watched people moving through the airport, he realised that a tourism business which moves people has no limitations – so with one vehicle, one person and plenty of passion,
Centurion Tours was started in 1999.Two years later, in 2002, Ikraam’s wife Washiela joined the business, bringing her strong administrative skills and ability to implement systems, which contributed to the company’s growth.

Centurion Tours was started in 1999 and only had one employeeand vehicle.
By 2002, Centurion Tours had grown it’s vehicle fleet to 2 vehicles and 5 employees.
Awarded the ACSA tender to operate the travel desk at Cape Town International Airport.
With now 18 employees and 6 vehicles, Centurion tours expanded it's service offering to include corporate conferences & events.
Centurion setup offices and launched operations in Johannesburg and was re-awarded the ACSA tender.
Centurion achieved BBBEE level one, which is the highest level possible, and grows to 70 employees.
Centurion wins the ACSA Feather award, and grows to 80 employees and 22 vehicles.
Centurion wins the ACSA Feather award for the second time, and grows to 25 vehicles, with new travel desk opened at O.R Tambo.
Centurion wins the ACSA Feather award for the third time for the best public transport provider in South Africa.
